CAP224 - Dual-channel power amplifier 2 x 240W 100V
Why do you need a Capacitor? Today's car audio amplifiers need huge amounts of current. Often, a standard vehicle's battery and alternator is unable to provide the instantaneous demands of a high powered audio system. A typical vehicle's electrical system maybe already utilizing 80% of the available current driving, A/C, headlights, and other power draining components. When trying to reproduce a bass note at high volume, there may not be enough reserve current available to play this correctly, resulting in weak bass response and distortion. Adding a storage capacitor allows the system to have a reserve power center to support these large surges of current. The capacitor can store current and return it in milliseconds, to support the demands of your system. This allows the amplifier to work more efficiently, reproduce the music as it was intended, and minimize light dimming from voltage drop. Stinger select capacitors allow your system to perform of its fullest and you get all the power you paid for.
